The video model was first expressed as a looping PowerPoint; playing throughout the 12 workshops.
Participants became familiar with the concept of a moving nature film projected OVER their drawings, with the visual content + changing seasons. We listened to online forest sounds to set the tone. Workshops started in Fall of 2023.The base-layer of the video’s 4 opening images originated with the Gaia Nerve Cell (2019). Humans in forests before colonization, then settlers’ homes changing the environment as colonization began. . . . . followed by more housing in the Outaouais, like shed-stylings of the 1970s, + tech workers everywhere now. The video, edited in the Winter 2024, alters the look of the TreeScrolls with its seasonal colors. The project’s 10-minute video has an original score created by Esmerine. 2024.The first exhibit of the multi-media art installation opened in Wakefield’s Library for Earth Day 2024.
